Another example of the damage man inflicts on nature
The two terrapins were brought to us after getting entangled with fishing hooks.
X-rays revealed that their condition was life threatening - the sharp hooks were embedded deep in their throats and were dangerously close to injuring their tracheas and other vital organs.
Nature is repeatedly harmed by human waste. If the fishing hooks were not discarded in the water reservoir where these terrapins were living, their injuries, and probably those of many other wild animals, could have been prevented. Please throw waste into garbage cans and help us protect nature in our country 🙏🏼
The terrapins will undergo further treatment and complex surgery at the Wildlife Hospital. Let's wish them luck!
